This iphoneography series represents the digital version of my ongoing project to document payphones in black and white film, as it serves to contrast the analog version through vibrant colors, instantaneous development and technology (shooting the series with a phone versus a camera).
The camera and telephone were both invented around the same time in the 1800's. Over the last two centuries these technologies have evolved tremendously and are now one and the same—the iPhone. Using this modern day symbol of ever changing technology, I document an artifact of the past, the world’s remaining payphones.
